Announcing Our 2018 Design Team
Fresh off a successful 2017 season, The Battalion is pleased to announce our design team for the 2018 season:

Shilo Stroman – Artistic Director, Composer and Arranger
Alex Entin – Percussion Composer and Arranger
John A. Matthews II – Brass Composer and Arranger
Dylan Camacho – Sound Design Specialist
Douglas Goodwin – Visual Designer
Nick Peterson – Visual Design Consultant
Mariann Liddiard – Color Guard Designer
Josh Jensen – Design Consultant
Mark Hartman – Design Consultant
Shilo Stroman returns to lead the team of talented composers, arrangers, and designers in his new role as Artistic Director after serving the corps as Front Ensemble Caption Head and Arranger in 2016 and 2017 as well as Design Coordinator in 2017. In addition to coordinating the efforts of the entire design team, Stroman will also lead the musical design efforts as Composer and Arranger alongside returning Composer/Arrangers Alex Entin (percussion) and John Matthews (brass). They will be joined by newcomer Dylan Camacho, who will be serving as the corps’ first Sound Design Specialist.
In addition to Camacho, The Battalion welcomes Doug Goodwin to the team as Visual Designer and Nick Peterson as Visual Design Consultant. Peterson and Goodwin will be joined in the visual design efforts by Color Guard Caption Head Mariann Liddiard and Visual Caption Head Josh Jensen, both returning in their roles from the 2017. Program Director Mark Hartman rounds out the 2018 design team as Design Consultant.
Newly-appointed CEO of The Battalion Luke McCollum had this to say about the 2018 design team.
"I'm excited for the new additions to our design team and look forward to their work in continuing to evolve the identity of our young corps," said McCollum. "Under Shilo's creative leadership, I'm confident they'll give our members a vehicle that is accessible, entertaining, and moving."
With the design team in place, work has begun on the corps’ 2018 program and planning is underway for our Battalion Experience (BEX) Clinics and Audition Events.
