Director's Desk - DCI Application

Dear friends,

Today marks another pivotal milestone in our rapidly accelerating march to our first competitive season. The Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps has officially applied to join the 2016 Drum Corps International Tour as an Open Class unit!

This application and approval process takes many months, and this is only the first step, but we couldn’t be more excited to enter this phase of our journey and ramp up for our first BEX Audition Event on November 27 and 28 at Juan Diego High School.

During our review period, the DCI office will be taking a close look at our staff, board of directors, business plan, financial strategy, and growth plan, among other key ingredients vital to the success of a new corps. We are eager to show them everything we have been building here.

There is incredible excitement about our organization, fueled by two successful Battalion Experience clinics. From the talented students who have turned out in droves to learn at our BEX events, to the incredible staff of educators we have assembled to teach them, we know we are building an organization that will be a lasting force for good.

We have so many exciting things to tell you in the coming months, so stay tuned.
