JOEY KIDD - COLOR GUARD CAPTION HEAD
Joey Kidd has been a part of the pageantry world since 2001. Starting as a young trombonist in his home town of Atlanta, GA, he soon fell in love with Color Guard. Some of his most influential and rewarding performing memories were with the CrownGUARD in 2009-2010, Paramount World in 2011/2013, and Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard in 2015.

Joey was on staff for Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps instructional staff for the 2012-2014. After moving to the west coast, Joey joined the instructional staff of both the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and Pacific Crest from 2016 – 2018.

Joey has served as the CCGC (California Color Guard Circuit) member-at-large as well as a member of the Advisory Committee for WGASC (Winter Guard Association for Southern California)
Joey is currently the color guard director at Arcadia High School and Dana Middle School in Arcadia, California.
​
During the winter season, Joey works with various winter programs designing, staging and consulting. He instructs visual/guard with independent wind ensembles as well as other WGI scholastic groups.
Joey is currently finishing his Master’s from National University and is expected to receive his California teaching credential by the end of 2021. When not coaching color guard, Joey is teaching Elementary PE.
