JEFFREY RICHARD - BRASS INSTRUCTOR

Jeffrey Richard was born and raised in Reno, Nevada.  While attending public school, they found a passion for music, inspiring them to seek a bachelor’s degree. They started at the University of Nevada, Reno originally as a Music Education major, but later switched to a Bachelor of Arts to focus on composition.  

 

Jeffrey has also performed as a world champion of the Drum Corps International Open Class division with the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets as a baritone horn player (2016-2018) and a drum major (2019), and in the World Class division with the Sacramento Mandarins as a euphonium player (2021).  

 

Jeffrey is a University of Nevada, Reno student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in music with an expected graduation in Summer 2023. In the Spring of 2022, their composition “When I am Found…” was selected in the 2022 UNR Composer’s Competition and performed by the University of Nevada, Reno Symphonic Orchestra.
