SHALAMAR GEORGIA - VISUAL COORDINATOR

Shalamar Georgia is a veteran of the activity.  Beginning her DCI marching career in 1999 , playing Euphonium, she has marched with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps as well as the Santa Clara Vanguard.  Shalamar is a founding staff member of the Percussion Independent World Group Dark Sky Percussion, as well as Altitude Percussion, and Independent Open Group.   She has been teaching in the activity, both outdoor and indoor since 2003, at various levels.  This Winter season, she will also be working with Rise Percussion, an Independent Open WGI group in Colorado. 

 

Shalamar has received various degrees in the field of Microbiology and Infectious Disease.  She has three small children, and is married to a US Army soldier.
