ALEX ENTIN - BATTERY INSTRUCTOR
Alex Entin is a drum corps veteran who participated as a marching member and a staff member at both the Blue Knights and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. His extensive knowledge of the marching arts includes many years of experience on staff and as a member with many Colorado high school marching bands, winter percussion ensembles and Independent World Class Finalist and Fan Favorite (2011) Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble. Alex is a proud staff member and battery arranger of the Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps since its Inaugural Camp in November 2014.
Alex Entin received his Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado under the instruction of Professor Gray Barrier. His classical training on piano and percussion has taken him around the world touring and performing with prestigious ensembles. Alex performed with the top Wind Ensembles, Orchestras and Percussion Ensembles during his studies at UNC. He also received outstanding instruction from percussion teachers: Jim White, Jim Casella, Jeff Ausdemore, Michael McIntosh, Mike Nevin, Pat Amann, Ward Durrett, Brett Montgomery, Jim Ancona, Ray Ulibarri, Dave Marvin, and many more great teachers.
Mr. Entin is the Percussion Director at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana where he instructs with a world class staff the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township and the Lawrence Township Winter Percussion. His wife Savannah also teaches music and together they raise their two children Mason and Emily.
